The first week

Well, we've arrived! Last week we unpacked in 50degree temps with layers upon layers of clothes! And now . . . we're sweltering in this 95degree heat and spending most of our time at the waterfront . .. ahh! the Adirondaks and the crazy weather here! Hudson has already made at least 6 "best friends" and I have trouble keeping track of him as he chases after all his buddies. What a fun place this is for him! He seems to be having the time of his life. Ri spends her time happily "sun bathing" on the dock at the water front . . . I'm already scared to fast forward 7 years and see her "sun bathing" on the dock at the age of 13 . . .I'm thinking Chris and I are going to have to keep her under lock and key!:)

So today we met friends for a free movie at Oxford Valley Cinemas . . .the Muppets Take Manhattan . . . ahh the memories of watching that same movie as a kid. Hudson loved it! The kid was in hysterics the entire time . . .he loves a good laugh (and he HAS a great laugh!) At the end, he looked at me and said with complete sincerity, "mommy, I really loved that beautiful pig, but Hermit the frog is my favorite!" These years go too fast!

Here it goes . . .

Well, I"ve always thought this would be fun, and yes, a bit dangerous, as I'm not really one to "edit" what I really want to say. But, I"m not feeling like I'll need to edit, and since I can't keep in touch with everyone while we're staying in our expensive Adirondak summer home :) I feel like this might just be the thing I need. I'm sure the only one who will actually read this will be my mother! (thanks mom!) But here's to hoping my loyal friends will check in once in a while just to find out what's going on with the Studley crew!
